Parks & Trails
In addition to miles of quiet dirt roads, the Town of Clinton has several town parks and other unique trail options to explore.
Clinton Nature Trail
1215 Centre Rd (Dutchess CR18), Rhinebeck, NY 12572
Located at the Town Hall complex, the Clinton Nature Trail is a 1-mile loop that skirts the border of an open field and then enters a woodland, passing through several wetland areas along the edge of Little Wappinger Creek. A great trail for bird watching, and easy enough for young kids.
Frances J. Mark Memorial Park
337 Clinton Hollow Rd, Salt Point, NY 12578
Commonly referred to as the “Fran Mark Park,” this town gathering spot has a swimming pond, pavilion, picnic tables, and sports fields for summer activities. In winter is home to an ice rink (weather permitting) and the annual town bonfire. The park is administered by the Town of Clinton Recreation Department.
Friends Park
2350 Salt Point Turnpike, Clinton Corners, NY 12514
This 10-acre park includes a baseball field and in winter, weather permitting, an ice skating rink. It is administered by the Town of Clinton Recreation Department.
Omega Institute
150 Lake Drive, Rhinebeck, NY 12572
Omega Institute welcomes its neighbors living in the towns of Clinton and Rhinebeck to enjoy the grounds and facilities, including the library, sanctuary, trails, tennis courts, beach, and lake. An application is required.
Stonehouse Wood Sanctuary
105 Stonehouse Rd. Rhinebeck, NY 12572
This sanctuary, home to hundreds of birds, welcomes respectful visitors. A short walk takes you to a magical stone circle.
